I've now also completely rebuilt my dash, too bad I don't have the time to do a custom flat, cj style dash yet.
I've replaced all of the chrome with black hardware except the front grill and the hood hinges.
I've de-rust'ed, recovered with plasti-dip and reinstalled my battery try, I also built a custom and far stronger battery clamp.
Adjusted my ebrake
Hacked more useless trim off.

A little bit of update..
So after buying a few hundred dollars worth of parts to put my 89 YJ back to stock that it would pass visual smog inspection, and then finding out I'd bought the wrong parts, I decided to curl up in a small ball in the shop and just cry for a little while. After the crying was done, I formulated a new plan of attack, SPEND MORE MONEY.
Seems like the solution to 90% of jeep problems is SPEND MORE MONEY. Damnit. :)
So, vacuum stuff on a jeep, nightmare, carter bbd, nightmare, pulse air, nightmare, blah blah. The solution of course was to rip all of that out and replace it with howell throttle body injection. I ordered their kit, $1300 thank you very much, and after dealing with a massive lack of customer service (or any kind of service), I was able to get my jeep upgraded. Runs like a champ now, well, a champ that has a miss and stumble at idle, still unclear what that could be.
So here's the long list of things that I've done/replaced
Replaced ugly aluminum center line wheels with black steel american racing wheels
Replaced crappy mud boggers with TSL Thornbirds, softer, quieter.
Replaced every fluid
Replaced stock ECM with GM ecm for fuel injection
Replaced carb with throttle body injection
Replaced exhaust manifold with oem
Replaced exhaust from manifold to tailpipe
Replaced MAP, o2, cto, sensors
Replumbed vacuum sytem
Nutter bypass
CUSTOM check engine light ;)
Replaced mechanical fuel pump with electric and high flow fuel filter
Add Electronic speed sensor
Still to do..
bushing replacement (all of them)
shocks
move fuel filler to side
flush mount tail lights
roof rack
Dreaming:
ford 8.8's front and read with 3.73
4 inch lift
high travel shocks with stretched wheel base
4.0 head conversion
better roll cage
